not from the west coast but for your lift question Ready Lift has a leveling kit that would do the same thing you want. it did to my 05 taco it sat higher in the front than the rear thats why i took mine off

my 81 Toys EGR valve is somehow leaking oil now :(
replaced my rear seal then had a leak around the pan gasket, replaced that, kept leaking, come 4x more attempts, still leaked, finally looked up while doing a test run and saw oil running down the side of the engine
pulled my air breather and the tube coming out from the center of the intake manifold was leaking oil from the backside of the nut secured to the EGR, fixed that by removing the tube and applying gasket silicon around the brass washer, so it stopped leaking there, then it started to leak around the crimped edge
one other person on another forum I frequent had a similar problem insofar as the EGR on their truck got stuck open, but no oil coming from it...id like to know why mine might be doing that
here in arizona, other than in Phoenix, emissions arent required (more than 1 vehicle here at home have had to pull that equipment out so could actually have working room) will see what will happen when bypassing it...or by chance is there a way to remove the top short of cutting it off? will end up removing the top and sealing it, then reconnecting everything but not sure how it will make the truck run if this is done...
lousy replacement will be 200+ bucks that I dont have...Napa has them for 195 but the pictures dont match what I have, Autozone wants 270...RockAuto seems the best so far at ~220...have 1 more autoparts store to check but can only do that in person
otherwise will have to find a junked truck for one...
any thoughts or recommendations?
PS @ 1 bad tacoma...I think I found a source for the speedo, just have to check it out...its a place that turns out to be just 15ish miles up the road that another co worker will be going to see about a seat for his 85 Toy (i need one too)

We should organize a west coast meet and I'll try to drive out to it.
